Culture & Scenery

8-12 hour boat tour that meanders up the Kingcome Inlet, deep into First Nations Territory, on the Mainland of British Columbia, home of the Musgamagw Dzawada'enuxw First Nation.  4 guests maximum!

I am incredibly honoured and delighted to be able to offer my guests this new tour which meanders up the Kingcome Inlet, deep into First Nations Territory, on the Mainland of British Columbia, home of the Musgamagw Dzawada'enuxw First Nation. This tour is brought to you in partnership with Kingcome Raven Adventures and offers an amazing opportunity learn about the Kingcome Valley and the rich First Nations culture first hand.

A "typical day" on the Kingcome Inlet - First Nations tour:

Travelling by boat from Telegraph Cove, this full day tour (8-12 hrs) starts with a 2hr journey through the beautiful Broughton Archipelago and into Kingcome Inlet. We have a chance to see humpback whales, orcas, porpoises, dolphins and black bears on the way over. At the Kingcome river mouth we meet our First Nations guide and are welcomed aboard one of the Kingcome Raven Adventures jet boats.

We then spend the next 4 hours with him traveling up the Kingcome River underneath snow covered mountain tops, through luscious green valleys and some of the most stunning scenery B.C. has to offer. We will have a few stops along the way, including a 30 min hike through the rainforest to visit some incredibly beautiful waterfalls. At the end of the jet boat tour we will enter the river sanctuary in which we might be lucky enough to see some grizzly bears. After the river tour we hop back onto my boat the Ambient Light and make our way back to Telegraph Cove.
