Sea Otters - West Coast
Wildlife & Scenery Photo Tour
7-9 hour boat tour to watch cute sea otters in a protected inlet on the West Coast of northern Vancouver Island. It is a great location to watch some humpback whales, eagles and sometimes even killer whales.
4 guests maximum!
This full-day West Coast boat tour is mainly to watch the cute sea otters on the West Coast of Vancouver Island North. We will trailer the boat to a protected inlet where we launch the boat. If sea conditions allow we might even go a little to the outside coast to watch the stunning rough coastline of Vancouver Island.
Important notes:!!!
No wildlife sightings can be guaranteed (expect nothing and be happily surprised). The tour is not recommended for pregnant woman or guests with back problems. The tour is wind depending.
No wildlife that I can guarantee but I will do everything in my power to make it the best day ever.
A "typical day" on the Sea Otter wildlife & scenery photo tour:
We will be leaving by truck with the boat in tow and drive over to the West Coast where we launch the boat in a protected inlet. Often we don't have to drive too far before we see the first sea otters but most of the time the bigger groups are hanging out a little bit further away in the inlet. We will be mainly looking for bigger rafts of otters.
There is a very good chance to encounter humpback whales and sometimes even killer whales. Bald eagles are almost a given.
There is also a slim chance that we might see coastal wolves - that said, chances are absolutely minimal BUT it is an area where they can be spotted should we be lucky enough to be at the right time at the right place.
If the wind and sea conditions allow we will drive out to the outer side and watch the amazing scenery and cliffs along the rugged coast of Vancouver Island.
